Storytelling is a traditional Irish art, engaging visitors enabling them to learn more about the local traditions, landscape and can provide a depth to the holiday experience. The owner of Channel Vista, Karen Edwards, is a qualified storyteller and also writes her own stories. Her storytelling style makes the experience authentic .


From Heart to Hearth offers bespoke storytelling experiences to tourists visiting the local area. The story experience can be located to suit visitors and the content tailored to meet the audience.


Karen’s repertoire draws from Irish traditions and also covers stories from around the world. She tells stories and runs workshops for both adults and children. Karen always tries to adapt a storytelling session to the needs and interests of the people in front of her, after she has found out a bit about them.  She enjoys working with many different types of groups including folklore and historical; community and environmental; schools and libraries; care homes, friendship groups and lunch clubs.


Performing at various events including:  storytelling walks in the forest; NI Libraries Yarnspinners; Cape Clear Storytelling Festival; Bagenal’s Castle; Hillsborough Castle; and The Glens Storytelling Festival.


  • Storytelling experiences can be provided from 10.00am to 10.00pm.

  • Each experience will typically last 45 minutes to 1-hour max.

  • The ideal size of group is 10-12 but can be less.
